Glow from the setting sun.
It was so calming to come to this space where was stillness, after reading computer screens for days, and isolating my activity to almost purely intellectual activity. It was a relief to get out of my head, calm my mind, and just be with the rest of the world.
This well traveled trail was interesting to walk along. Unlike the flat surfaces in the human world, it was full of texture--patterned by peoples shoe prints, and as I walked the icy snow mushed down and crunched slightly under my weight.
Close up showing texture of path.
A path for both humans and animals--notice the paw prints.
There were many flocks of geese flying through the sky; their calls echoed loudly through the crisp winter air. What a different form of communication than our internet--just calling out with no translational device in between, seemingly no symbolic words used, but pure expression through sound. When I took a moment to consider how loud they were, I was amazed--these were no talking voices they used, but were shouts every time.
Interesting how something so thin can make such a big print.
Grasses combing through the snow.
Snow covered lake, glowing blue.
A pair of geese on the lake.
Near the shoreline, what looks like part of a fence in the ground. Evidence of humans.
Grasses along the shore.
Wide stretches of clear blue sky cleared my mind and my soul.
The whole earth shook with a thunder of an occasional truck that passed on the highway nearby. It was scary, and it disturbed the peace of this serene world. There was frequent traffic over head that mimicked the geese, only rather than rhythmic honking, there was a deep noise that drowned out more delicate sounds each time a plane would fly overhead.
Moon shining.
Delicate grass silhouette.
